Nine celebrity couples are ready for the adventure of a lifetime – Power Couple, Season 4!
For better or for worse – that’s how every love story begins! Memories are made through adventures experienced together, while the greatest challenge comes when you step outside your comfort zone and remind yourself that nothing is impossible. With these thoughts in mind, the couples taking part in the fourth season of Power Couple are setting off on their journey! The show is getting ready to begin filming in its familiar location in Malta and will be available to watch on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY.
Sebastian Coțofană, one of the country’s best-known radio hosts and content creators, and his girlfriend, Bianca Hîrsana, a medical engineer, have been in a relationship for seven years and are taking part in a television format together for the first time! “I’m excited about taking part in Power Couple because it gives me the opportunity to be alongside Bianca in a competitive setting, something we have never experienced before. We’ve played volleyball, board games and squash together, but we’ve never been a team in an ‘official match’. And I’m convinced we’ll understand each other with just a look, just as we do in everyday life. I know what I’m capable of and I also know my limits, but I can’t wait to discover Bianca in this environment, because she always surprises me with skills I never knew she had, depending on the situation. I’m also grateful that she agreed to come, because unlike me, she is very private when it comes to her personal life, and simply being here is, for me, proof of her support and loyalty. Move aside, because Team SeBianca is coming!” says Coțofană! Bianca adds: “I joined Power Couple because I wanted to experience a completely different kind of adventure and test ourselves as a team in an environment that cannot be replicated in everyday life. For me, it is also a huge opportunity to get to know myself better, to see how I react in extreme situations and what resources I can discover when I am taken out of my comfort zone. Taking part alongside my partner will be an incredibly intense experience because he is the person I trust the most, but also the person with whom sparks fly the most when we’re both stubborn or under pressure. What scares me the most are the overwhelming emotions before each challenge, the high-altitude challenges and all kinds of insects. Still, I can’t wait to see how we handle everything together and make the most of this adventure.”
One of Romania’s most renowned and accomplished athletes, Olympic judo champion Alina Dumitru, is entering the competition alongside her husband, Ciprian Dumitru, a physiotherapist. After 15 years together, during which they have gone through everything side by side, they have decided that now is the time to take part in the format: “For us, Power Couple is a challenge. We are taking part in this show to prove to ourselves that we are a strong team and to discover each other in completely new situations, push our limits and leave here more united than ever. We also have a competitive spirit and want to show everyone that humor, mutual support and love can overcome any challenge, no matter how crazy it may seem. We are convinced that it will be an unforgettable experience, one that we will only live through once, filled with emotions, stress and memories that we will share with our children. On the other hand, we know that the pressure will take its toll. It will be fascinating to see how we manage stress together and how we manage to rely on each other when everything around us becomes chaotic. We believe this experience will bring both our greatest qualities and our little stubborn streaks to the surface, but that’s precisely what makes us authentic. We are ready to face our fears and overcome them together.”
An artist appreciated for his music and a content creator with a wonderful community that gives her energy: Bvcovia and Alexandra Elena! The two have been together for six years and feel that the time has come to embark on a new adventure! “I have always enjoyed experiencing new things. I’m a fairly ordinary person when it comes to everyday life, and whenever I have the chance to do something out of the ordinary, I never hesitate. For us as a couple, this is a new test that, regardless of the outcome, will certainly help our relationship. I like trying new things, but I also enjoy testing myself in competitions. Taking part alongside Alexandra will be interesting, considering that this is something new for both of us, something that takes us out of our comfort zone and everyday lives. I’m not afraid of anything – I’m moving forward,” says Bvcovia. Alexandra is just as excited about what lies ahead: “I accepted the challenge because we want to step outside our comfort zone and experience something we have never done before, and the fact that we are taking part together, we believe, will either help us… or, on the contrary, test our relationship more than we could have tested it ourselves in six years. The unknown scares us a little, as does not knowing what to expect, but we are very curious to see how we will handle everything and what this experience will bring out in us.”
With more than 2.5 million followers online, Gami has been and remains one of the most well-known voices among young people. Apart from those closest to him, no one knew that he had been in a relationship for two years with Erika Aylin, a 22-year-old student. Now, the two are joining Power Couple to talk about everything they have built together and experience an unforgettable adventure.
“It seemed like a unique opportunity to test my limits because I enjoy stepping outside my comfort zone and taking on as many new challenges as possible. And the fact that I’m going through all of this alongside Andrei makes the experience even more special for me. We are quite similar in the way we think and react, which I believe can be an advantage for us, but there are also moments when we are completely different. I think this combination will make the experience more interesting and put us in situations where we will have to complement each other, but I have a lot of confidence that we’ll succeed,” says Erika. Meanwhile, Andrei says: “For me, taking part in Power Couple is an opportunity to challenge myself not to be so comfortable and to step outside the routine I have grown accustomed to over the past few years. At the same time, it is a completely different setting from the one in which people are used to seeing me, and a chance for them to get to know me from another perspective. Taking part together with Erika makes the experience even more different for me, especially because this is the first time we are making our relationship public and people will have the opportunity to see what we are actually like together, in a situation where we cannot control everything happening around us. I guarantee there will be moments that will test our patience, but I believe everything will be fine. If there is one thing that truly scares me, it is leaving behind so many things that I normally take care of myself.”
A fighter with notable achievements, known throughout the country, Ionuț “Pitbull” Atodiresei is joining the show alongside his wife, Oana Atodiresei, after 16 years together, more than 14 of them as a married couple. Following an impressive career, he is now continuing as a coach, and he is coming to Power Couple to challenge himself once again. “I’m very motivated to take part in this show. I’m a little nervous, considering that I’m participating alongside my wife, Oana. I hope she won’t be put in difficult situations! Still, I’m sure she is much stronger than I think. I can’t wait to see her take on the challenges! She is braver than me in certain situations. I’m motivated to go all the way to the end. We’ll see what happens there – may the best one win! In the end, I’m not afraid of anything, of any challenge.” His wife adds: “Taking part in this wonderful show feels like an adventure, and I love adrenaline. That is the main reason why I agreed to participate in Power Couple alongside my husband! I’m sure it will be a unique and unforgettable experience. I’m excited and curious to see the challenges begin and to find ourselves in situations we have never experienced before.”
After an impressive football career, which he has continued as a coach, Eric de Oliveira Pereira is determined to go all the way, with his wife, Cosmina, by his side. The two have been living a beautiful love story for 19 years. “This show will be a huge challenge for me and an opportunity to test my limits. I’m an active person, I love sports and competition, and experiencing this adventure alongside my husband makes it even more special and gives me courage. I admit that I’m scared of challenges at great heights and everything that involves overcoming your fears and doing things I normally wouldn’t have the courage to do. We will support each other and enjoy every challenge, even when things don’t go smoothly,” says Cosmina. Her husband adds: “We’re looking forward to this unforgettable experience! My wife and I are ready. We hope to enjoy Power Couple! We can’t wait to have some time to ourselves because we need different kinds of moments, too. I hope our presence will be appreciated by everyone, but also that you’ll get to know a little bit about our relationship. We’re excited, focused and hope to make it as far as possible!”
They have been together for 11 years, have large online communities and are appreciated for everything they do! Artist Bogdan Medvedi and actress Oana Zara are determined to win the competition and feel that together, they are always stronger. “Power Couple was literally on our vision board this year, and look at us now! I absolutely love challenges, and the challenges here will take us out of our comfort zone. I can’t wait to see how we work as a team when the pressure is at its highest! The most important thing is that we’re together in all this craziness. We want to have the time of our lives and create memories that we can show our children. Let’s go!” says Bogdan. Oana adds: “I wrote a short poem for Power Couple. I’m super excited that we’re doing this together. The challenges aren’t easy, I’m nervous, but life is about pushing your limits! Power Couple is us – Medvedi and I put courage on this year’s list, not to prove anything to anyone, but to gather stories to pass on. Because we only get one life, and it is made of the memories you dare to create. And we want to live them all, from one end to the other, together.”
Radu Valahu and his wife, Roxana Valahița, are two elite athletes who have made history! He is a record-holder and coach, while she is a professional athlete and a two-time world arm-wrestling champion. They have been together for 13 years, 12 of them as a married couple. “Perhaps I would have liked to mention my mother’s words, which she said three years ago while watching Power Couple. She told me: ‘That’s where I want to see you! You can do it. You are one and the same, 2 in 1!’ I would have liked to say that this would have been the motivation for both of us, as well as my mother’s wish, but unfortunately, we lost her recently, suddenly, even though she was not ill. Wherever Radu is, that’s where I am too – meaning at Power Couple. My home is wherever Radu is. The only thing that scares me is the thought of Radu ever being in danger in this life. That says it all! We can say that we have had the power of a couple ever since we met. We are one and the same! So yes, if we are together at Power Couple, it feels just like home!” Roxana points out. “I don’t have the final word, but I’ll continue what Roxana said. We are on the same page. We are a team! This show fits our family like a glove. We have been like this since we met. They say that there is a law of attraction in the Universe, and that like attracts like. That’s why we’re at Power Couple!” Radu adds.
The list of Season 4 participants ends with a couple of content creators who have been together for more than two and a half years! Adrian Elicopter and Iorga are two of the creators who have quickly earned appreciation online and have shown that, through hard work, they can create unforgettable experiences for those who follow them. “We really love competition, and we liked the challenges we saw online. We are not afraid of difficult things; on the contrary, many times we have actually sought them out ourselves and wanted to test them. We can’t wait to see what has been prepared for us,” the two say before heading off to the competition.
