Hagi’s national team makes its Nations League debut on Friday at 9:45 p.m., live on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY, against Sweden

Romania is preparing for the new Nations League campaign, which kicks off on Friday, September 25, at 9:45 p.m., live on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY, against Sweden. The match will be preceded by a special edition of Match Studio, featuring Dan Pavel, Adrian Mutu and Gabi Tamaş, starting at 9:00 p.m. With Gică Hagi on the bench, the Tricolours will play no fewer than four matches in just 11 days, facing Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Poland on their road to EURO 2028. Until 2028, all of Romania’s national team matches will be broadcast exclusively on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY.
Gică Hagi returned to the bench of the Romanian national team in the spring. After two friendly matches in June, a draw against Georgia and a win against Wales, the “King” is preparing for his official debut in the Nations League campaign, live on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY, and will begin the road to EURO 2028 with an away match against Sweden. The Tricolours will play on Friday at 9:45 p.m. at Strawberry Arena in Solna, in a clash that opens the series of six matches in this group.
For Gică Hagi’s team, the clash with Sweden represents the first official match of the new campaign and the first step in a journey that could have major implications for the road to EURO 2028. After the match in Sweden, Romania will face Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland, both away and at home.
During the first international break of the new season, Gheorghe Hagi’s team will play four matches, also facing Bosnia and Herzegovina at home on September 28, Poland away on October 2, and Sweden at home on October 5. All matches will be broadcast exclusively on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY.
