Nine Celebrity Couples Take On the Challenge of a Lifetime as Season 3 of “Power Couple” Launches on Antena 1!
Athletes, artists, and content creators among this year’s contestants
Love stories that withstand the test of time go through moments that build memories, difficult times that teach resilience, and moments of pure joy. Regardless of the ups and downs, one thing remains the same – they hold hands and turn the impossible into the possible, finding their strength in one another! The upcoming period brings a challenge that will push some of the country’s most famous celebrity couples out of their comfort zones: Power Couple Romania, Season 3! Filming is about to begin in Malta, and the show will air on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY.
Through thick and thin, the nine couples who accepted the challenge are ready to face the most surprising trials!
Double Olympic artistic gymnastics champion Sandra Izbașa is determined to show she can face anything with grace and confidence. She won’t be alone – she’ll be joined by her husband, actor Răzvan Bănică.
“Power Couple is more than a TV show. It’s a complex experience that reminds you the joy of play should never disappear from an adult’s heart, even when the competition pushes you out of your comfort zone. However tough it gets, you’re never alone here – because in every challenge, through thick and thin, you have your ‘superhero’ by your side: the person you love!” says Răzvan.
Sandra adds: “The time has come to say ‘YES’ to this experience, which we’re looking forward to with excitement and anticipation! We intend to face every trial with confidence, even though the unknown awaiting us in Malta is already fueling our adrenaline. We hope Power Couple becomes a story we’ll never forget! Whatever happens, I’m convinced love will prevail – through thick and thin!”
Some of the country’s most followed content creators, Dilinca and Mădălin Șerban, have been a couple for almost four years and are eager to make new memories together.
“I accepted the challenge because I want to break monotony and see what we’re truly capable of as a couple! I think the contest will be super cool, super tough – I can’t wait to see the challenges and I’m sure we won’t disappoint! I’m ready to find my limits!” says Mădălin.
Dilinca adds: “I joined the competition because I want to try something new and see what I’m capable of. I love adventure and I’m sure Power Couple will be an unforgettable experience. I expect to come out stronger and for our relationship to reach the next level. I can’t wait to see what the show has prepared for us – 100% it’s going to be wow and we’ll have maximum fun!”
A beloved artist with top-charting hits and her artistic manager husband, known also for his culinary talent – ADDA and Cătălin Rizea – are ready to take this adventure to the finish line.
ADDA laughs: “I think I accepted the invitation after a glass of Aperol or three! And after Cătălin’s insistence – ‘You can do it! You’re strong!’ 😂 It’s a show I absolutely love. I watched almost every episode of season 2 and imagined how it would be with my husband there. Though it’s always attracted me, I’ve also said it’s a tough, demanding show, with addictive adrenaline even just watching it. We’ll see how I feel after I experience it for real! I honestly plan to have fun with Cătălin and create unique memories we’ll tell our grandchildren with dramatic flair!”
Cătălin adds: “Power Couple is one of the coolest shows and of course I wanted to be part of it! We’re hoping to enjoy as many stages of this experience as possible and I’m sure we’ll have maximum fun. Can’t wait to see the challenges and for you to watch us as we truly are – honest, crazy, and full of love!”
Known voice of morning radio shows Andrei Niculae will now bring his energy to the competition alongside his partner of six years, Claudia.
“I think mentally we all dream of having the chance to take on this challenge while watching the show from our couches with our partners and wondering ‘what if?’ For me, Power Couple is a unique opportunity. I expect us to score maximum points in all challenges and show the whole country we are a power couple,” says Andrei.
Claudia adds: “I accepted this challenge with excitement and enthusiasm. In real life we already feel like a power couple, so this is the perfect opportunity to prove it on a reality show. I expect us to give our best while also enjoying every moment.”
Known for his sporting achievements and reality TV appearances, Cătălin Zmărăndescu is one of Romania’s most respected martial arts coaches. This time, he’s stepping into the arena with his wife of 11 years, Luiza.
“I’m used to challenges and competitions that push me out of my comfort zone, but this is a first – entering the game alongside my wife. My whole life I fought alone knowing she was there for me, but now we’re in this together. We joined Power Couple because we felt it’s a way to prove that together we can overcome any obstacle. Let the competition begin!”
Luiza says: “Power Couple came out of nowhere into our lives and we accepted it without thinking too much. Only afterward did we realize what’s ahead. Now our enthusiasm and curiosity are sky-high. Usually, when Cătălin prepared for something like this, I stayed home thinking how I’d handle everything in his absence. This time we’re both leaving, making sure the kids are fine, and can’t wait to see how we’ll do.”
With songs still hummed years later, artist NiCK NND is stepping into a new experience with his wife of 19 years, Cătălina Marin – together for over 30 years.
NiCK says: “I accepted the challenge to overcome certain fears and to see how well we work as a team under pressure. I hope we find our balance, physically and mentally, to make the right decisions during the tough moments we’re sure to face in the show. I expect us to be ‘us’!”
Cătălina adds: “Over our 33 years together we’ve faced many challenges, and since the first season aired I’ve wanted to experience this too. We see it as a new adventure full of emotions, adrenaline, and fun. We want to support each other, communicate openly, back each other up in tough moments, and have fun at the same time. We want to grow together, learn to collaborate under pressure, and build unique memories from this experience.”
Loved by the younger generation, Mitzuu and Ariana bring fresh, highly appreciated content online. After more than five years together, they’re confident they have what it takes to succeed.
Mitzuu says: “Power Couple? We already feel that way sometimes because we have so much in common. We wanted to see if we really are a power couple. That’s why we’re here – to face our fears and get to know each other better. God willing, we’ll do alright and have fun – because if we do, the journey will surely be great!”
Ariana adds: “We were both scared at first, but we really wanted to see what it’s like to be on TV – especially Power Couple, which suits us perfectly given all the crazy challenges we do ourselves. We’re here to have fun, stay focused, and God willing, have a great run.”
Olympic champion at the pommel horse Marius Urzică and his wife Simona – together for over 18 years and married for 15 – will make their first TV appearance as a couple.
Marius says: “I joined Power Couple because I wanted us to live a different experience, one that would challenge and test us as a couple. I don’t have expectations – I just want to enjoy everything and show ourselves and others that together we can overcome anything.”
Simona adds: “I accepted at the encouragement of our kids. It’s a format we like and believe suits us. I don’t want to build expectations – I just want to enjoy this experience and discover new things about us as a couple while overcoming fears that may arise along the way.”
The list of participants is completed by content creator Oase, known for his perseverance on TV formats, and Maria, his visual-artist partner of over six years – her first time as a contestant.
Oase says: “I joined because I love challenges. This time, at Power Couple, I get to do it alongside Maria – which makes it bigger, newer, and totally different. I’d like us to have as much fun as possible, be natural and relaxed as we always are, laugh, enjoy the moment, show everyone how much we love each other – and of course, win.”
Maria adds: “For me, Power Couple is a big step outside my comfort zone, but I’m taking it with the person who makes me laugh every day, so I accepted with courage and enthusiasm. I want us to gather lots of beautiful memories, go through this experience with laughter and confidence – just like we do in life every day.”
