On December 16, Antena Stars celebrates 12 years of authentic Romanian celebrity news, exclusives, and behind-the-scenes stories from the lives of stars
In 2013, Antena Stars—the only Romanian television channel dedicated to celebrity news—greeted viewers for the first time through the show “Răi da’ Buni.” Thousands of broadcasts, millions of special moments, and countless exclusives followed, and for 12 years now, Antena Stars has been zooming in on what you love. For 12 years, it has been the epicenter of show business—the place where breaking news is first revealed, where exclusives come to life, and where, when needed, a helping hand is extended.
“Antena Stars is celebrating its first 12 years of constant presence in viewers’ homes, reaffirming its commitment to delivering relevant content. We aim to be ever closer to the urban audience, connecting real stories with high-quality entertainment in a bold mix of entertainment, current affairs, and lifestyle. We will continue to innovate our programming grid and zoom in on the stars who inspire today’s Romania. In 2026, we are betting on a dynamic editorial strategy focused on authentic storytelling, original formats, and a strong representation of contemporary entertainment. We will keep zooming in on what truly matters: stars, real stories, and genuine emotions. Happy anniversary, Antena Stars—with gratitude and courage for what lies ahead!” reveals Elena Savu, Channel Manager of Antena Stars.
The anniversary day kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with STAR ANIVERSAR – 12 Years, a special morning show hosted by Andreea Frățilă, Natalia Mateuț, and Andrei Ștefănescu, who bring grade-12 celebrities to the screen. Oana Roman, alongside Antena Stars since the very beginning, talks about her journey and what she was doing at the age of 12, while Olivia Păunescu and Valentin Butnaru, the hosts of Observator 12, join the celebration. The atmosphere is rounded out by the Cârnaț family from Chișinău—a special family whose number of members perfectly symbolizes the number 12. Throughout the show, Chef Horia Manea prepares sweet surprises in the studio.
From 11:00 a.m., Antena Stars News, with Geanina Ilieș and Marius Niță, celebrates emotions worthy of 12 years. The day’s guests are Alexandra Ungureanu, one of Romania’s most appreciated artists, and Mihai Albu, the Romanian designer listed in the Record Book. Throughout the day, viewers will enjoy special interviews with Roxana Vancea and her family, Marina Almășan, Tili Niculae, Sanda Țăranu, Marian Drăgulescu, Alina Sorescu, as well as Prince Nicolae and his wife, Alina. Each celebrity is assigned an emotion—from amazement, courage, and joy to vulnerability, fascination, and nostalgia—because for 12 years, Antena Stars has lived every story intensely.
At Viața fără filtru, starting at 1:30 p.m., Natalia Mateuț marks the Antena Stars anniversary with a special edition where emotion and good vibes go hand in hand. Mioara Velicu and Viorica Dăncilă, the celebrant of the day, join the studio for an honest, story-filled encounter. The atmosphere is energized by a stand-up comedy moment in which Antena Stars celebrities are humorously “roasted” with self-irony. A numerologist completes the anniversary picture by explaining the significance of the number 12 and the date December 16, and the finale brings a symbolic and sweet moment: the anniversary cake shaped like the number 12.
From 4:00 p.m., on Acces Direct, Mirela Vaida and Adrian Velea present a touching story about a young woman whose mother disappeared and reappeared after 12 years. Celebrities such as Jean de la Craiova, Valentin Sanfira, Simona Florescu, Ioana Dichiseanu, and Andreea Spulber recall what they were doing at the age of 12 or 12 years ago. Toward the end of the show, viewers enter Adrian Velea’s home, where he celebrates 12 years of marriage with his wife, Ioana.
At 9:30 p.m., on Spynews TV Live, Mara Bănică brings viewers together with Narcisa Lecușanu, one of Romania’s most important handball players, who made her career debut at just 12 years old. Additionally, she connects live with Sida Spătaru, the wife of the late Dan Spătaru, sharing emotional memories of the artist, 21 years after his passing.
The party continues in the evening on Un show păcătos, from 10:30 p.m. until after midnight. Dan Capatos is joined in this anniversary edition by Alina Pușcău and Olga Barcari. Cătălin Botezatu, Ovidiu Komornyik, Stela Enache, and many other renowned artists turn the evening into a memorable one. At midnight, Antena Stars tests the luck of the approaching new year.
