Starting June 15, Antena launches Chefi.ro, the television channel that brings all Romanians together at the table!
Antena continues its promise to offer audiences new and relevant editorial universes and is launching Chefi.ro, a new project built around one of the strongest areas of interest in Romanian entertainment: cooking, reinterpreted as a lifestyle experience.
Following the success of the Chefi la cuțite phenomenon, Chefi.ro represents a natural extension of this editorial territory: a television channel and a website dedicated to people passionate about cooking, balanced living, urban experiences, travel, culture, and positive entertainment.
The new project is designed as a modern, inspirational, and easily accessible ecosystem that naturally connects linear television, digital content, and new editorial formats with strong engagement potential for urban and commercial audiences. More than just a platform dedicated to cooking, Chefi.ro introduces a positive and contemporary editorial universe built around an authentic and modern lifestyle. Cooking becomes the central point of a wide range of relevant themes — from health and family to socializing, travel, culture, and experiences that define modern living — creating a modern, positive, and inspirational editorial space designed for family viewing and for an urban, active audience interested in a contemporary lifestyle.
Chefi.ro will develop a balanced editorial mix built around several content areas: gastronomy (culinary competitions, cooking reality shows, studio formats, local productions, and high-quality gastronomic storytelling), wellbeing & healthy living (accessible content about health, nutrition, prevention, personal balance, and responsible living), travel & culture (premium international productions exploring the world through gastronomy, local traditions, cultural identity, and human experiences), premium series, as well as entertainment and family viewing (positive, relaxing, and accessible content suitable for watching together with the family).
The new channel’s schedule will include titles such as: Chefi la cuțite, My Kitchen Rules, Hello Chef, Star Chef, Meniu de Vedetă, Medicool, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico / France, Remarkable Places to Eat, Michel Roux Down the River, as well as a live food, lifestyle, and wellbeing format — Poftiți la știri. This daily live in-house production will focus on current and useful topics for the general public: nutrition, health, urban experiences, culinary trends, contemporary lifestyle, and practical family recommendations.
Chefi.ro targets a national urban audience, with a focus on the 18–54 age segment interested in cooking, entertainment, health, travel, cultural experiences, family life, and contemporary lifestyle.
The new project marks the transition from a successful TV show to a complete editorial universe. The Chefi la cuțite phenomenon, Prime Time audience leader with Season 17, now reaches a new level through a project that expands the conversation about food into everything that defines contemporary lifestyle: family, health, experiences, culture, travel, and entertainment.
Chefi.ro will replace the music channel ZU TV in the lineup, a natural repositioning adapted to new consumption habits: music has largely moved to digital and streaming platforms, while linear television remains relevant through entertainment, cooking, lifestyle, and family-viewing content.
With a clear positioning, an editorial mix adapted to new consumer behaviors, and an already established TV infrastructure, Chefi.ro becomes a new Antena destination for audiences, as well as a valuable new platform for partners and sponsors.
Chefi.ro – Come to the table!
