The Ants, with Scamă, Blană and Cătălin Măruță – spectacular audience growth in the first week of Season 2!
For more than half a year, Romanian viewers afternoons have looked completely different, filled with feel-good moments, unmissable questions and answers, and entertaining challenges! Scamă and Blană, the two Ants, have quickly become some of the most beloved characters, proving that entertainment can always take on a new form! This fall, The Ants welcomed a new co-host, Cătălin Măruță, and viewers at home embraced the change, with the format recording significant audience growth!
The Ants quickly climbed the ranks of viewers favorite shows, with Antena 1 moving up one place in the overall audience rankings, recording a 45% increase in average viewing time compared to the same period in 2025, as well as a 26% increase in the number of unique viewers, outperforming already well-established and widely followed formats such as Batem Palma (PRO TV) and Casa Iubirii (Kanal D).
Scamă, Blană, Cătălin Măruță, Oase and Radu Ciucă won over viewers from the very first episodes, with their energy clearly making an impact! The first week of Season 2 recorded a 120% increase in market share and a 73% increase in rating compared to the first week of September 2025.
The first five episodes kept viewers glued to their screens and delivered impressive figures, showing that the show is gradually becoming one of the most-watched programs. The episode aired on Monday, September 7, featuring Chef Richard Abou Zaki, recorded a 2.0 rating and a 16.5% market share, with a very strong performance throughout the broadcast. Between 6:00 and 6:58 p.m., the show reached a 2.3 rating and a 17.5% market share, outperforming PRO TV, which recorded a 2.2 rating and a 16.5% market share.
The episode aired on Wednesday, September 9, featuring Emilian as a guest, recorded an audience record: throughout the broadcast, Antena 1 achieved a 2.3 rating and a 20.3% market share.
Viewers at home also enjoyed The Ants guests on Thursday and Friday, Maia Morgenstern and Mariana Ionescu Căpitănescu, respectively. The show was the audience leader on Thursday, between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., ahead of PRO TV with Știrile PRO TV, and on Friday, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m., ahead of PRO TV with Batem Palma?.
