The countdown is over: the Antena universe is set to launch the most extensive FIFA World Cup experience ever offered in Romania. Between June 11 and July 19, 2026, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be broadcast exclusively on Antena 1, AntenaPLAY, and Antena 3 CNN. Viewers will be able to watch all 104 matches of the tournament live, as well as the three spectacular opening ceremonies hosted by the tournament’s host countries.
From Mexico City, Toronto, and Los Angeles, world-renowned artists will transform the start of the competition into a true celebration of music and emotion, ahead of the opening whistle in each host nation of a tournament destined to make history.
Before the first matches are played in stadiums across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Romanian audiences will be able to watch live the three spectacular opening galas organized in each host country. Featuring top international artists, stunning productions, and the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ opening moments, these three live shows will kick off 39 days of spectacle, passion, and world-class football, exclusively in the Antena Universe.
On June 11, the first ceremony will turn Mexico City into a vibrant showcase of color and Latin American music. Scheduled performers include J Balvin, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, and Maná, alongside other international artists. The artistic concept is inspired by the traditional papel picado, a symbol of Mexican culture. Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy will also perform “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
On June 12, Toronto will host Canada’s grand welcome to the FIFA World Cup. Artists expected to take the stage include Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, and other international performers.
On June 13, the United States will conclude the trilogy of opening ceremonies with a large-scale celebration dedicated to global music and entertainment, featuring artists such as Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the first FIFA World Cup broadcast in Romania with surround sound, delivering an immersive viewing experience designed to bring audiences closer to the atmosphere of the world’s greatest stadiums. Fans will experience crowd reactions, the intensity of the matches, and the emotion of every key moment like never before.
