Tomorrow evening at 10:00 PM, reigning world runners-up France meet European champions Spain in what promises to be one of the standout matches of the tournament, live on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY. Both teams arrive with remarkable records and a brand of attacking football that has become synonymous with the FIFA World Cup. Having won all six of their knockout-stage matches, Les Bleus now face La Roja, a side that has conceded just one goal over the same number of matches.
The two nations have met 38 times in international competition. France has recorded 13 victories, Spain has won 18 encounters, while seven matches have ended in draws. Interestingly, this will be only the second FIFA World Cup meeting between the two countries. Their first came in the Round of 16 at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where France claimed a 3-1 victory.
Both semi-finals also mark a historic milestone for the tournament. France vs. Spain, to be played on Tuesday at 10:00 PM, and England vs. Argentina, live on Wednesday at 10:00 PM on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY, will feature the four highest-ranked teams in the FIFA World Ranking at the time of the Final Draw in December 2025—Spain, Argentina, France and England.
