Formula 1 is back! The Dutch Grand Prix airs this Sunday on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY
Ana Maria Gheorghe and Liviu Vârciu live the thrill of the Grand Circus
This weekend, Formula 1 returns with the Dutch Grand Prix after the summer break. The live race on Sunday, where emotions meet pure adrenaline, will be broadcast on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY from 15:45, promising a spectacular show of speed! Motorsport fans are invited starting today to watch the first practice sessions. Ana Maria Gheorghe and Liviu Vârciu will live the Formula 1 experience alongside the Antena Sport team at Zandvoort.

“When I hear ‘Formula 1’, I don’t just think of roaring engines and the sound that makes your heart race faster than your morning coffee. For me, it’s a mix of emotion, fascination, and a touch of magic on four wheels. This weekend I am lucky enough to be in the Netherlands, at Zandvoort, fully immersed in this spectacular world right from behind the scenes. Even though the sky is a bit upset and the rain is keeping us company, my joy is stronger than any cloud. Meeting the drivers is truly special – incredibly humble and respectful people, even though they compete in the most unforgiving and fastest sport in the world. Behind every race is a team working with indescribable passion: sacrifices, sleepless nights, and determination that elevates the spectacle to an art form.

I’m grateful to my colleagues for giving me once again the chance to be where I love most – at the heart of the action. Formula 1 isn’t just about speed, it’s about people, emotion, and pure passion. Every moment here feeds my soul and reminds me why I love Formula 1 so much,” revealed Ana Maria Gheorghe. Meanwhile, Liviu Vârciu said: “I arrived by car, but the location was very far away, so we had to take a bus. After the bus, I was picked up by an electric buggy. Finally, we made it, and my first reaction was WOW! I hope God helps me get my son into karting, then F3, F2, and one day, to become the first Romanian in Formula 1. I would love that more than anything! That way, I’d also make sure I could get into every event. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I’m so happy I had the chance to be here. If you’re passionate about cars and F1, you have to live this experience at least once in your life!”
The Dutch Grand Prix, also known as “The Grand Circus”, takes place at Zandvoort from August 29–31. The circuit is 4.259 km long, and drivers must complete 72 laps to finish the race, which was first held in 1952.
Sunday will surely bring strategies, unpredictable moments, and adrenaline-filled action, while exclusive commentary and insights will be available on AntenaPLAY so motorsport fans can enjoy a complete experience. A year ago, Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen finishing second and Charles Leclerc third.
