Antena Continues Its Strategic Media Partnership with Bucharest Fashion Week for the Latest Edition, Taking Place October 13–17
Following its recent debut on the official Milan Fashion Week calendar, Bucharest is once again at the heart of the project. From October 13–17, the event brings together Romanian and international designers from Italy, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, and Kazakhstan, alongside industry professionals, artists, and the creative community, through a program hosted at several venues across the city. Once again, Antena is a strategic partner of Bucharest Fashion Week and will continue to spotlight the creative identity of Romanian designers. Viewers can follow live reports presented by Diana Bart on Antena Stars, Wednesday through Friday, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, while Raluca Preda will be backstage, bringing them interviews with industry professionals and artists. The most anticipated moments of the edition, the fashion shows, will be available to watch live on AntenaPLAY, with an account registered on the platform.
The runway remains at the heart of the edition, but the SS’27 season introduces several new directions: the integration of art and performance into Main Stage shows, the launch of the Fashion Art Division, the first menswear brand to feature in the MBBFW calendar, new formats dedicated to wellness and professional dialogue, and an expanded digital experience through the official Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week app. The app brings together the schedule, digital invitations, event information, and a map to help visitors navigate between Fashion Week venues.
The fourth edition of Bucharest Fashion Week kicks off on October 13 with “Design in Dialogue,” a conference exploring the relationship between fashion and the creative disciplines that influence it, from art and architecture to education, theatre, film, music, and design. The discussions will bring together Amalia Săftoiu, Mara Popa, Alexandra Șipa, Doina Levintza, and Alina Lazariu, each offering a perspective on the influences and collaborations that shape her creative practice.
The program continues with Fashion Talks, a format bringing together international professionals from the creative industries. Speakers include representatives of the Embassy of Italy in Romania and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), institutional partners of Fashion Week, alongside Carlo Capasa (President of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana), Scott Lipinski (CEO of Berlin Fashion Week and Chairman of the Board of the European Fashion Alliance), Massimiliano Giornetti (Director of Polimoda), and Catrinel Marlon (model, actress, and director). The conversation will explore the fashion industry, its impact on culture and the economy, and the international landscape in which it operates today.
This edition will also feature a special appearance by the “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” National Chamber Choir, in a performance that brings classical music into an unexpected dialogue with contemporary fashion, further strengthening the season’s interdisciplinary approach. In addition, an urban running route will invite participants to discover the city on the move, while “Discover Longevity,” featuring Laura Coman and Dr. Ioana Drăgan, will host a discussion on longevity and how everyday choices can support long-term well-being.
The Bucharest Fashion Week agenda includes a series of special events that will be covered by Antena Stars and AntenaPLAY, giving audiences at home direct access to the behind-the-scenes moments of an event that brings Bucharest closer to the global fashion stage.
