Collaboration of the year in television, Mona Segall and Mihai Bendeac are preparing a talent show for this autumn, on Antena 1
Antena 1 surprises the media market with a new collaboration: Mona Segall, the producer of the big hits Asia Express and Game of Chefs, and Mihai Bendeac, one of the most talented comedians and television personalities in Romania, are preparing a talent show for this fall. The project in which the two are involved, together with their teams, is based on an original format, more details about it, its concept and structure, to be communicated later.
"I have wanted to work with Mihai for a long time. He's a great TV personality, a very talented actor and a director I admire, now that I've seen his film, The Marriage. I have a lot of faith in him and his talent, and after this collaboration, I hope we become friends and he calls me Mona, not Mrs. Segall. Until this project, we met a few times, contextually, at filmings, he was a special guest in a season of Game of Chefs, but I always appreciated the messages of encouragement or appreciation that I received from him", declared Mona Segall.
"I have always considered that television is not my main dimension as an artist. On the contrary, I don't think it would get the podium. However, I treated this aspect with the same professionalism with which I treat the others, whether we are talking about theater, film, books or advertising. I haven't felt at all in the last 3 years that I would ever want to be on a TV set again. But there was always a comma. These "commas" are important. They seem harmless, but from a point on, they can trip you up. And my comma was the thought that in the construction of my career I always wanted to work with Mrs. Segall. Being a professional geek, I know the past of Romanian television, from December 31, 1956, until today. I can sort things out pretty well, I can think critically, and I've concluded, without a doubt, that, based on objective matters, you are the best creator in the history of this field. I don't know what will be the result of this collaboration. But what matters is the fact that, if I still took care of my career (unfortunately) more than I took care of my family and loved ones, at least I don't regret later that such a brilliant producer is missing from my path. I thank her for the trust", says Mihai Bendeac.
Mona Segall is one of the most influential figures in the Romanian television industry, having an essential role in the success of the most impactful entertainment shows in our country: Asia Express, Game of Chefs, Dancing with the stars, Summer of temptations, Choose Asia, being also the producer who launched the shows Romania'a got talent, MasterChef and The Voice of Romania.
